Staff: 4.5/5Owner, Director, therapists, nurses, counselors, and support staff are all really great. I had no issues with anyone in particular. They are all there to help you however they can. I found that everyone advocated for my well being, were available when I needed them, and did their best to support me, check in on me, and make sure I was happy and comfortable.(why not 5/5? They have had a bunch of turnover and need to update their website with their newer staff members and qualifications. Additionally the Doctors they partner with were not as thorough as I would have wanted, and were kind of pushy with medications)Program: 4/5Small groups for the win! You get a lot of attention if you need it. This is a Holistic approach rehab. They do not focus on any 12 step programs. You have daily classes with different counselors, focusing on the science behind addiction, anger management, talk therapy, art therapy, equine therapy, nutrition, and much more. You have one-on-one sessions twice a week with a Licensed Therapist, and you have access to a gym daily, with a yoga instructor and trainer coming a few times a week. You also have a docent that comes once a week to do sound therapy, and you can learn techniques such as tapping. They have 2 doctors on staff you will have Zoom appointments with, and someone is always present to distribute morning, afternoon, and bedtime medication. You can also always grab whomever is on-call to talk through any issues or questions you have.(why not 5/5? Overall I found that there was too much down-time. I got bored and restless with that much free time and I craved more structure. Additionally I thought that the family Zoom sessions could have served as a stronger resource for loved ones)Location: 4/5Murrieta is a quiet, tranquil area, with mountain views, a lot of farmland, and very little public noise to distract you. When you do leave the house, you get to visit a small farm that is very close by to interact with horses and goats, etc. You also have an outing on Saturdays for a few hours that allows you as a group to get out of the house. The immediate area has all the basic stores and activities you would want, like target/walmart/grocery/7-11/etc as well as mini golf, bowling... You do need to decide as a group where you want to go because you have 1 chaperone and need to stay together at all times.(why not 5/5? There are 2 different houses located about 10 minutes away from each other. The Bass house advertised on the website is much nicer and larger than the Doreen house. During my time the clients staying at the Doreen house were shuttled over to the Bass house for our daily classes and sessions, not being able to utilize their own kitchen, rooms, and bathrooms during the day. I was also told by clients that the Doreen house was not as nice as the Bass House)Amenities: 4/5Pool - (I was there in the winter, so it was not heated and basically unusable, however, I did do some cold plunges just for the shock)Hot tub - available once a week on Friday eveningsYard - Large Grass Backyard and cement patio with tables and chairsGym - Available daily. TV for movies or music. Free weights, yoga mats, and a few outdated cardio machines that mostly worked.Kitchen - Large kitchen, multiple Fridges/Freezers, Huge pantry for preparing anything you want, ovens, microwave, toasters, dishwasher, outdoor gas grill, etc...Pool table, ping pong table, arts and crafts table, outdoor TV, Indoor TV, Computer, land-line house phone.Comfortable rooms and bathrooms with laundry access, and provided bedding and towels.(why not 5/5? I was disappointed that it wasn't clear that the pool and hot tub didn't have daily access as advertised, and that the gym was more outdated than described/pictured. They also could make some very inexpensive recreation investments like a basketball for their outdoor hoop, soccer ball, frisbees, croquet set, bocce, etc for their giant lawn to be used during the extensive downtime)

Ranch Creek Recovery is the best way to start your new healthy way of life. This program actually saved my life and my sanity. Their Holistic approach was amazing and I learned so much from my counselors and Dr. Dena. With only a limited number of participants in the house at one time, you are guaranteed the one on one time, as well as the group counseling they offer in a safe and comfortable setting. They make you aware that they truly care and are there to support you , listen to you, and most important to teach you. Teach you information about triggers, cognitive behavior and how to stay sober. They include therapy through others means such as Yoga, Meditation, working with Horses and even Physical Training. Ranch Creek makes sure when you leave you are good, Mind, Body and Soul. They have an excellent Intensive Outpatient Program (10) weeks that helps navigate your way back into life. A year ago (received my one year chip June 8, 2022) I was lost and a raging out of control alcoholic. I can proudly say today that I am not. I will always be an alcoholic with an addictive personality. But now I have tools, personal contacts and the faith in myself that I have never had before in my 9 years searching for sobriety. I often reflect back on my time at the Bass house. I am probably one of the few that actually stayed 60 days because I had so much to learn. My insurance did not cover all of the last days, but it was worth it to me, so I stayed. I am so grateful to so many of the staff, Jimmie, Christine, Jonathon, Dr. Dena and countless extended staff to name a few, because there were more. I would not be here to tell you it works, because without the treatment and the help I received, I alive today to tell my journey. If you are ready to face the truth, please give them a call. I promise if you are committed, you will never be the same as when you walked in. Thank you Ranch Creek Recovery.

I had long term sobriety and was under a lot of stress from my professional position. I began to use cannabis recreationally and soon became dependent. I sought recovery, because I could not stop using cannabis on my own. It was causing issues with my family and in my professional life. I signed up with Rancho Creek Recovery, through my insurance. I attended the pm IOP zoom sessions with Lorri. Her group sessions and the materials she provided, helped me to get off of cannabis. Lorri was a big help in giving me strategies to stay sober and to manage the cravings and ways to deal with my work stress. I would strongly recommend Rancho Creek Recovery's outpatient program and the pm IOP zoom sessions with Lorri. She was a great professional to work with.

I've had a few stints with rehab and none even skinned the surface of what I learned here. Located on a beautiful property in the foothills of Murrieta, with in house groups led by instructors that break it down so in depth. My perspective had a total shift and I can honestly say I owe my life and the promise of a new future to this facility and it's faculty. If you're willing to do the work this is the place to get into your core issues and help you recover from the lifestyle and vices that one is addicted to. I recommend this place to anyone who wants something different from life. DBT, CBT, recovery education, family therapy are just a few of the groups and The program director and Clinical director hand picked a team that is progressive, informed, patient, caring and passionate about what they do. I encourage anyone who's seeking treatment to look into this program I first hand watched others and had my life transformed.

Coming to Ranch Creek Recovery, I had been through three different inpatient chemical treatment facilities in CA. I was feeling lost and somewhat hopeless. The serene setting gave me peace and I began healing. The counselors were very inspiring and helped me grow in ways I haven’t experienced in years. I began to see the bigger picture that a life in sobriety can give you. Although I am somewhat scared to leave the comfort and security that Ranch Creek Recovery and staff has brought me, I am also excited to share my growth with my family and to start my new life. Thank you RCR!

Detox Treatment Programs

Most addiction treatment services start with a medical detox. During this process, you’ll be given the medical and community support necessary while all traces of your used substance leave your body.

Although many believe they can undergo this at home, it’s always possible for a medical emergency to happen during detox. It’s also the most challenging part of your recovery journey, making a residential stay near Palm Springs the best option for most people.

Residential Treatment Programs

Residential treatment near Palm Springs allows you to focus solely on your recovery without external stress or responsibilities. Whether you need drug or alcohol rehab services, our treatment facility offers three stay lengths: 30, 60 and 90 days. During this time, you’ll live at the rehab center and participate in a holistic-based recovery and wellness program tailored to your specific needs.

rehab near Palm Springs, CA

When you arrive at our beautiful rehab center near Palm Springs, you’ll first have an intake with a recovery specialist. Then, once a plan has been developed, you’ll receive an opportunity to settle into your spacious room. Your room provides a safe place to relax between addiction therapeutic services and our facility’s other offerings.

Your daily schedule will include a combination of evidence-based treatments and therapies, including:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Family counseling and therapy
  • Meditation
  • Art therapy
  • Equine therapy
  • Fitness training
  • Yoga
  • Management of co-occurring mental health conditions

Our drug and alcohol rehab centers near Palm Springs are designed to provide trauma-informed care. All recovery programs focus on the underlying psychological problems that led to your addiction. Our caring, informed counselors will focus on your mental health disorders, issues with family members, traumatic experiences and more to get to the root of your addiction.

Outpatient Treatment Programs

Our intensive outpatient treatment plans near Palm Springs are designed for those who can’t afford to take one to three months out of their everyday lives. This program is also ideal for someone who’s just completed an inpatient program near Palm Springs.

Unlike residential treatment, you’ll be able to continue living in your own home and working while attending drug addiction treatment at our rehab center.

Outpatient programs last at least 10 weeks and require Monday, Wednesday and Friday attendance. Treatment can be done in the morning or evening, and aftercare is available once a week.

Paying for Palm Springs Drug Rehab

Your insurance provider must provide some level of coverage for integrated mental health services, including treatment for substance use disorders. However, the level of coverage offered will vary based on the insurance provider and the plan you’re on. For example, some insurances may only cover outpatient services for drug abuse centers in Palm Springs, while others will also cover a percentage of inpatient stays. Some insurance companies provide full coverage for everything from partial hospitalization onward.

Ranch Creek Recovery rehab centers accept various insurances, including some private health insurance options, for our programs. Some of the insurances we accept include:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross
  • Beacon Health Insurance
  • Cigna
  • ComPsych
  • First Health Network
  • Health Net
  • Humana

Addictions Treated

Ranch Creek Recovery is pleased to offer various treatment options under the care of informed medical professionals. We provide personalized treatment plans for opioid use disorder, cocaine addiction and several other drugs. You can find a complete listing of the addictions we treat below.

Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction often happens when you attempt to treat co-occurring disorders (specifically mental health issues) with alcohol. Since alcohol alters your ability to think and feel, relapse prevention focuses on the underlying conditions and trauma that cause you to drink in the first place. Treatment options for alcoholism usually include individual and group counseling in a supportive environment.

Cocaine Addiction

Many use cocaine for its energizing and euphoric effects. For some, these effects can help numb problems or provide the focus to get things done. However, cocaine use is associated with numerous health problems, including an increased risk of heart attack or stroke. At Ranch Creek Recovery, we use a combination of traditional and alternative or holistic treatments to give you the best chance of maintaining a sober life permanently after cocaine addiction.

Fentanyl and Other Opioids

Fentanyl and other opioids (like heroin) are a type of drug that helps block your brain’s pain receptors and cause mild to moderate sedative effects, depending on which drug is taken and how much is used. Opioid addiction can significantly impact your physical, emotional and spiritual health. Your treatment plan will likely be a combination of medication and therapy designed to help you reclaim your life and succeed in lifelong recovery.

Methamphetamine Addiction

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive illicit substance with serious side effects. Since meth is developed using chemicals not meant to be ingested in the body, the potential for serious side effects (including overdose) is very high. We offer a 90-day inpatient program to help you overcome meth addiction safely and successfully.

Prescription Drug Addiction

Prescription medications manage pain, chronic illnesses and even mental health issues. Unfortunately, many of these prescribed drugs are addictive. Examples of drugs that can cause dependency include:

  • Opioids like hydrocodone, oxycodone and codeine
  • Benzodiazepines like Klonopin, Xanax and Valium
  • Barbiturates like phenobarbital
  • Stimulants like Adderall, Ritalin and Concerta
  • Certain other medications, including Soma, Lunesta and Suboxone

Before starting any medication, it’s essential to discuss with your doctor if there is the potential for addiction. This is especially true if you’ve ever had an addiction to other drugs or alcohol, as you’re more likely to be prone to chemical dependency. Our prescription drug rehab program is designed to understand the root cause of your addiction and teach you healthy coping mechanisms that will increase the chances of lifelong sobriety.

Treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders

A crucial part of our process is the understanding and treatment of co-occurring disorders. Co-occurring disorders are when two or more addictions or mental health issues occur at once. These cases are significantly more complicated than treating a singular addiction, but we fully believe recovery is still possible.

Many people who battle with mental health issues turn to drugs or alcohol to self-medicate their symptoms. The symptoms of mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, general anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder can be overwhelming at best and unbearable at worst when untreated. Management of these conditions is crucial to addiction recovery.

It’s also not uncommon for an addict to have a “gateway drug” that leads to other addictions. For example, a person may begin by abusing alcohol. However, over time, they may find alcohol alone no longer gives the effects they were hoping for. When this happens, they may turn to other illicit substances like opioids or cocaine, hoping to repeat those initial euphoric or numbing effects.

A Holistic-Based Treatment Center

People come to Ranch Creek Recovery from all over California, including San Diego, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Desert and the Palm Springs area. We specialize in providing holistic treatment in a luxurious, calm setting. This means we go beyond the physical effects and psychological causes of addiction. Instead, our treatment process focuses on treating you as a whole, with activities designed to heal your mind, body and spirit. We fully believe you can only concentrate on substance abuse recovery when your entire being is in proper alignment.

At traditional 12-step rehab centers, you’d be expecting to attend meetings and stay indoors all day. However, we believe this is counterintuitive, and former patients of these programs who’ve relapsed would likely agree. Instead of keeping you indoors all day, we offer equine-assisted and garden therapy alongside ample opportunities to heal in nature. These alternative therapies can help you heal past trauma and focus on your new addiction-free future.

If you find that horses or gardening aren’t your cup of tea, don’t worry. We offer other alternative therapies that can help you feel refreshed and focused. Examples of other alternative therapies you can benefit from include guided meditation, yoga, fitness instruction and gong sound healing therapy.

Our staff understands that chemical and nutritional imbalances can contribute to addiction and make recovery more complex. For this reason, we offer amino acid therapy that helps address any imbalances you may have. This therapy helps restore your physical health while you’re mentally working to overcome your addiction.
